It was late in the night when a light colored, hopeful and peaceful background came out on a blank canvas. A night where a black figure on one side is counterbalanced by a gold figure on the other. It was almost completely realized in that one long night. After many weeks drying a shiny lacquer was then applied to the black figure to add shine, depth and darkness to what is already a restless painting.
