Painting for me is private and I enjoy being alone in order to concentrate completely on my art. I decided to participate at an event where a group of artists would create pieces live inside the historic castle of Signa during a medieval banquet. Before the event I painted a canvas with a yellow acrylic base and during the event I used a palette knife to apply thick layers of oil paint in shades of orange, blue, and purple. The painting evolved to have feather like forms which I feel was the beginning and inspiration for the series of wing paints that I would later complete.
